About Us
- Our Leadership: Women’s Council
LHEF Women’s Council
We have been given responsibility to give spiritual oversight to all events and activities of Women’s Ministries in our church, and we are accountable to the elders for our leadership. But we welcome the ideas, suggestions, help, involvement and prayer of all LHEF women.

We also pray for the women of LHEF. We divide up names so that each of us is praying for several women, and occasionally we alternate those names.
What are Women’s Ministries?
“Ministry” is service—in the church, to the church, for the edification of the church and also for evangelism. “Women’s Ministries” is service “to” women—Christian women serving one another, training and encouraging one another so that they grow spiritually and live godly lives. “Women’s Ministries” is “by” women—to other women within the church family but also service by women to the entire church or those outside the church.
How Do Women’s Ministries Help the Entire Church?
Women’s Ministries should never be independent. These ministries should be an integral part of the overall ministry of the church under the leadership of the elders, as they follow God’s leading through the Word and the Spirit. Women’s Ministries should assist in the overall ministry of the church. And because women are actively involved in serving and ministering together, the local church should more effectively fulfill its four main purposes:
to worship
to grow and mature believers/to live holy lives
to live out Christ’s love among believers and before a watching world
to proclaim the gospel to the watching world
Titus 2:3-5 is crucial to an understanding of Women’s Ministries. Thus, we provide events and activities that encourage older and younger women to get acquainted and to have influence in one another’s lives. Older, spiritually mature women should seek to love others and serve the church by training younger women. They are to train them in character, in family relationships and in work/service in their homes—for the honor of the Word of God. This ministry is fulfilled mainly through our sharing lives and purposeful conversation.
